Listing Image Requirements
Effective Date: July 29th, 2024
At Quicky Stores, we value trust and transparency in every transaction. To ensure buyers receive an accurate representation of the products they’re purchasing, we require sellers to use original photos of the actual items for sale—not renderings or stock photos—except under specific circumstances described below.
By uploading images, you confirm that:
- You have all necessary rights to the photos.
- You are complying with our Intellectual Property Policy.
- Your content meets the standards outlined in our Prohibited Items Policy.
1. Use Original Photos
When creating product listings, sellers must:
- Use their own photos, either taken personally or by someone authorized to take them.
- Showcase the actual finished product—whether made, designed, handpicked, or sourced.
Why is this important?
Accurately portraying the condition, quality, and quantity of your items builds trust with buyers and ensures their expectations are met.
2. Exceptions for Stock Photos and Mockups
While original photos are required in most cases, there are limited exceptions for personalized/customized products and items made with production partners:
A. Personalized or Customized Items
For personalized or customized products (e.g., monogrammed accessories, custom illustrations, or personalized text-based items):
- The first image must display a completed example of the customized item buyers will receive.
- Using a blank template or mockups with placeholder text (e.g., “Your Text Here”) as the main image is prohibited.
Additional Images:
- Computer-generated mockups may be used in secondary images to showcase customization options, but the first image must always be real.
- If you plan to use a customer review photo, you must first obtain permission from the buyer.
B. Items Made with Production Partners
When working with production partners, the requirements depend on the type of item:
1. Unique Designs Manufactured by a Partner:
- Use a real photo of the final, physical product manufactured by your partner.
2. Designs Printed on Base Items (e.g., Mugs or T-Shirts):
- You may use stock photo mockups to demonstrate the final product.
- Customizable products must still comply with the personalization guidelines outlined above.
3. Key Requirements and Restrictions
- Accuracy: Images must reflect the actual product buyers will receive, including color, size, and condition.
- Clarity: Use high-resolution images with proper lighting and angles to showcase product details.
- Permissions: Ensure you have the legal rights to use all uploaded photos, including third-party stock images and customer review photos.
- Prohibited Images: Listings must not include:
- Renderings or mockups as the primary image (unless permitted under exceptions).
- Misleading photos that misrepresent the product’s features.
- Copyrighted material without explicit authorization.
4. Enforcement and Compliance
Listings that fail to follow these requirements may:
- Be removed without prior notice.
- Lead to account warnings or suspensions for repeated violations.
