Programmatics Policy
Last Updated: September 21, 2022
Overview
Quicky Hire’s Programmatics Policy governs the use of programmatic solutions and third-party ad agencies in posting job advertisements. This policy ensures that all job postings meet our quality standards and provide a reliable experience for job seekers. Jobs posted through programmatic solutions or by ad agencies that violate our sponsored-only policies may experience limited visibility or removal from the platform.
Policy Statement
Jobs posted using software that offers advertising solutions to clients (referred to as programmatic solutions) and by third-party ad agencies that manage, sponsor, and optimize job ads must adhere to Quicky Hire’s quality guidelines. High volumes of policy violations in these postings may result in reduced visibility to maintain the integrity of our job marketplace.
Reasoning
While programmatic solutions and ad agencies can generate unique content, they may also present challenges in content moderation. To prevent quality issues such as spammy job titles or non-approved business models, Quicky Hire requires adherence to specific guidelines for these postings.
Definitions
Programmatic Solution
A programmatic solution is software that automates the buying, placement, and optimization of job advertisements using algorithms and data analysis. These solutions help clients achieve objectives like increasing application numbers, managing weekly ad spend, and optimizing sponsorships. Programmatic solutions generate "programmatic files," which are feeds containing jobs posted by the software.
Ad Agency
An ad agency is a third-party company hired by a client to develop and execute hiring strategies, including end-to-end marketing for job ads. Ad agencies may use programmatic solutions to support their clients’ hiring goals and may own the programmatic solutions they utilize.
Eligibility Requirements
To ensure that jobs posted through programmatic solutions and ad agencies meet Quicky Hire’s standards, the following eligibility requirements must be met:
-
Single Company per File
- Programmatic and ad agency files must contain jobs for only one unique company. A company and its subsidiaries may use a single file.
-
Multi-Source Feeds
- In certain cases, multi-source agency or programmatic feeds may be permitted but must undergo a specific approval process. Approved multi-source feeds will require sponsorship.
-
Exclusion of Job Board Clients
- Programmatic and ad agency files must not include job board clients. Refer to our Job Board Inclusion Guidelines for more details.
-
Approved Apply Links
- Apply links within job descriptions must direct job seekers to the relevant job posting or apply page. Refer to our Redirecting Policy for more information.
-
Title and Location Variations
- As of July 18, 2022, programmatic and ad agency feeds must comply with our Job Title Variations and Appropriate Use of Location policies. Title or location expansions that do not comply will result in content not being shown on Quicky Hire.
-
Unique Files for Each Client
- Each client must have only one programmatic or ad agency file. Duplicate files for the same client are not allowed.
-
Visibility of Duplicates
- Jobs posted through programmatic solutions or ad agencies must either be unique or be the only visible duplicate of the direct client’s job on Quicky Hire.
-
Prioritized Visibility
- Content posted directly by employers will have prioritized visibility over duplicate agency or programmatic feeds unless the end client requests otherwise.
-
Agency of Record (AOR)
- An Agency of Record must be provided by the end client to the ad agency or programmatic solution. Requests for a new Job Alert or Organic feed require written approval of prioritization.
-
External Reference or Requisition Number
- Programmatic feeds must include the client’s external reference number or requisition number.
-
Secure File Transfer Protocol (sFTP)
- Programmatic partners must provide XML files via a secure File Transfer Protocol (sFTP). More details on sFTP can be found here.
Visibility Guidelines
Job postings through programmatic solutions and ad agencies will have visibility determined by their compliance with the above eligibility requirements:
1. Job Alerts
- Applicable To:
- Direct employers who prioritize ad agency or programmatic files.
- Files with no title or location expansion.
- All eligibility requirements are met.
- Visibility: Jobs are available through standard job alerts without additional sponsorship.
2. Sponsored Only
- Applicable To:
- Files with no title or location expansion.
- All eligibility requirements are met.
- The end client’s prioritized feed is already receiving Job Alert/Organic Visibility, and this is the only duplicate programmatic feed, or they are an approved Agency/Programmatic Multisource feed.
- Visibility: These postings must be sponsored to appear prominently in search results and job alerts.
3. Nowhere
- Applicable To:
- Files with multiple unrelated companies or multiple non-approved sources.
- Files containing job board content.
- Apply links that lead to pages other than the job or apply page.
- Identical files created by the same ad agency or programmatic solution.
- Files without an external reference number or requisition number.
- Files with title or location expansion.
- Visibility: These job postings will not appear on Quicky Hire’s platform and may be subject to removal.
Compliance and Consequences
Compliance Requirements
Employers using programmatic solutions or ad agencies must ensure that:
- Accuracy: All job postings accurately reflect the true work location without any variations.
- Specificity: Job titles and descriptions are specific and comply with Quicky Hire’s policies.
- Unique Listings: Each job posting is unique or the only duplicate of a direct client’s job.
- Proper Documentation: All necessary documentation, including AOR and external reference numbers, are provided.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
Violating the Programmatics Policy may result in:
- Job Posting Removal: Non-compliant job listings will be removed from Quicky Hire.
- Reduced Visibility: Job postings with high volumes of policy violations may experience limited visibility.
- Account Restrictions: Repeated violations can lead to restrictions on the employer’s ability to post jobs or utilize certain Quicky Hire features.
Purpose
The Programmatics Policy is designed to maintain high-quality job listings on Quicky Hire by regulating the use of programmatic solutions and ad agencies. By enforcing these guidelines, Quicky Hire ensures that job postings are relevant, transparent, and free from quality issues, thereby enhancing the overall user experience for job seekers and employers alike.
