Sanctions Policy
Quicky Stores connects buyers and sellers worldwide, offering a platform for unique and creative products. By using Quicky Stores' services (including our website, mobile apps, and other tools, referred to as "Services"), you agree to comply with this policy and our Terms of Use, regardless of your location.
Compliance with Trade Restrictions
As a global company based in the U.S. with operations worldwide, Quicky Stores adheres to economic sanctions and trade restrictions enforced by agencies like the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. This means that neither Quicky Stores nor its users may engage in transactions involving restricted people, locations, or items, as outlined by OFAC and related laws.
What This Policy Covers
This policy applies to all users, and it is your responsibility to stay informed about restrictions affecting your activities.
Examples of restricted transactions include, but are not limited to:
- Geographic restrictions involving areas such as Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, and the Donetsk (DNR) and Luhansk (LNR) regions of Ukraine.
- Transactions with individuals or entities listed on sanctions programs such as OFAC’s Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List or Foreign Sanctions Evaders (FSE) List.
- Trade involving Cuban nationals unless they have permanent residency outside of Cuba.
- Items originating from embargoed areas like Cuba, North Korea, Iran, or Crimea, except for informational materials (e.g., publications, photographs, and art).
- Importation of products of Russian origin into the U.S., including fish, seafood, non-industrial diamonds, gold, and other restricted items designated by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce.
- Exportation of luxury goods from the U.S. to Russia or Belarus.
- Goods subject to the U.S. Tariff Act or related laws prohibiting forced labor.
Enforcement Actions
Quicky Stores works to ensure compliance by prohibiting account activity in sanctioned areas and monitoring listings for compliance. If we identify violations, we may:
- Suspend or terminate accounts operating from sanctioned locations.
- Remove or disable listings involving restricted items or regions.
- Block transactions or requests deemed high risk under sanctions programs.
- Request additional information about a product's origin or compliance.
Listings for items originating from embargoed regions are prohibited, even if they pre-date sanctions, as we cannot verify their removal from restricted areas. Sellers must provide accurate information regarding the origin of their products and meet all compliance requirements.
International Trade Laws
In addition to OFAC regulations, other countries may enforce their own trade restrictions. Members engaging in international transactions must comply with all applicable laws in relevant jurisdictions. Quicky Stores recommends consulting legal professionals for advice on international trade regulations.
Third-Party Compliance
Payment processors like PayPal may enforce their own sanctions compliance programs, which could result in blocked transactions. Quicky Stores has no control over the decisions of third-party providers and recommends reviewing their compliance policies.
Staying Updated
Sanctions and trade restrictions are subject to change. Members should regularly check government resources, such as:
- U.S. Department of the Treasury
- Bureau of Industry and Security (U.S. Department of Commerce)
- U.S. Department of State
- European Commission
