Safety
The vast majority of QuickyList users are trustworthy and well-intentioned. Still, please exercise caution when interacting with others—whether online or in person. Below are some resources and best practices to help you stay safe.
In-Person Transactions
When meeting someone face-to-face:
- Meet in public places like cafes, banks, or local community gathering areas.
- Avoid meeting alone if you feel uncomfortable. Consider bringing a friend or family member.
- Trust your instincts: If something feels wrong or the other party seems suspicious, consider canceling the transaction.
- Inspect items thoroughly before handing over money or finalizing a trade.
Online Scams
Protect yourself from fraudulent activities by:
- Verifying the other party using research or references if possible.
- Using secure payment methods that offer buyer/seller protection; avoid paying via untraceable methods (e.g., gift cards, money wiring services).
- Being wary of overpayments or requests to return excess funds.
- Suspicious URLs or attachments in emails can lead to phishing or malware, so always think twice before clicking.
Harassment
If you experience or witness harassment while using QuickyList:
- End communication with the harassing individual immediately.
- Report abusive behavior to QuickyList via our contact or report tools, if available.
- Block or flag any user who engages in harassment, hate speech, or threatening messages.
- Reach out to law enforcement if you feel threatened or at risk.
